Single Cup Coffee Brewers - Keurig Platinum B70

Single cup coffee brewers are not all created equally even if you narrow your selection to just the Keurig brand.  The Mini B30 is excellent as a secondary machine or for situations when you won't need to make multiple cups in succession.  If you seek a single serve coffee maker with more options and a larger water resevoir, the Platinum B70 is a machine worthy of your consideration.

The Platinum B70 allows you to brew fresh; hot or iced; coffee, tea, and cocoa; on demand.  This model brews in just 30 seconds which makes it easy to entertain a group of guests.  It is also programmable so that you can wake up to your favorite brew every morning.

I want to briefly mention why I am not recommending the brewer models between the B30 and the B70.  I believe for the difference in price it is worth getting the model with the best benefits.

Compared to the Special Edition Keurig B60 the B70 offers more options in cup sizes and the water resevoir holds an additional 12 ounces.  The B40 only brews in two cup sizes and is automatic but not programmable like the B60 and B70.

This model is a true upgrade to the earlier single cup coffee brewers in the line.  While all of the Keurig machines are well-rated overall, a common complaint even in positive reviews was the noise level of the system.  Keurig not only answered this complaint by giving the B70 quiet-brew technology, it also added features such as the iced brew and travel cup sized settings, and a blue back lit water reservoir.

In choosing a Keurig brewing system, you are already investing more money than you would with average single cup coffee brewers.  I believe with the Platinum B70 you get the most value for the price.
